Setup Guide

Download & Install

Download Hytale Votifier from our GitHub releases page and place the plugin file in your server's plugins folder.

Start Your Server

Start (or restart) your server. Hytale Votifier will generate a configuration file and an RSA key pair automatically.

Configure Rewards

Edit the config.yml file to set up your vote rewards. You can give items, run commands, or integrate with other plugins.

Open the Port

Ensure port 5523 (or your custom port) is open in your firewall and server hosting panel. Hyvote needs to be able to connect to send votes.

Important: If you're using a hosting provider, you may need to open the port through their control panel. Contact your host if you're unsure.

Get Your Public Key

Find your public key in the rsa/public.key file in your Hytale Votifier folder. You'll need this for the next step.

Configure on Hyvote

Go to your server's edit page on Hyvote and enable Votifier. Enter your Votifier host, port, and public key.

Troubleshooting

Connection Refused

Make sure the Votifier port is open in your firewall and hosting panel. Check that Hytale Votifier is running and listening on the correct port.

Votes Not Being Received

Verify your public key is correctly pasted on Hyvote (including the BEGIN and END lines). Check your server console for any error messages from Hytale Votifier.

Rewards Not Given

Ensure the player is online (or offline_rewards is enabled), and check that your reward commands are valid. Look for errors in the server console.

Test Vote Works, Real Votes Don't

The test endpoint bypasses encryption. Make sure your public key exactly matches the one generated by your server, and that you haven't regenerated keys after saving to Hyvote.
